The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the deadline for submitting options for the first round of seat allotment for the Diploma CET (DCET) Counselling 2024. Candidates now have until July 15 to fill in their options. This extension follows a High Court order and aims to accommodate more students in the counselling process.

- Candidates must bring original documents and two sets of photocopies for verification.

- NTTF Candidates:
- As per the interim High Court order, candidates who have passed from the Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) are now eligible for DCTE 2024 counselling.
- These candidates should get their certifications checked between July 13 and July 14 to be considered for seat allotment.
- Working Professionals:
- Working professionals who did not submit the required one-year service certificate for DCET 2024 will be ineligible for second-year engineering courses under the professional quota.
- Such candidates must attend document verification and obtain verification slips to be considered regular diploma candidates. They will then receive a regular rank and can enter options for first-round seat allocation.
- Second Year/Third Semester Admissions:
- Candidates seeking admission to the second year or third semester of engineering or architecture programmes through DCET 2024 must also complete document verification.
- The document verification sessions are on July 13 and 14 as mentioned above. Candidates who have already completed the verification process do not need to attend again.
- Government Seat Matrix:
- The inclusion of seats allocated to the government by the Board of Governors in the Government Seat Matrix has also led to the extension of the options entry deadline.
