The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for the SSC Stenographer Exam 2024, aiming to fill 2006 vacancies for Grade C and Grade D stenographers. Interested candidates can apply online through the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.

  • Application End Date: August 17, 2024
  • Correction Window: August 27-28, 2024

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed their Class 12 examination from a recognized board.
  • Age Limit:
    • Grade C: 18 to 30 years (Born between August 2, 1994, and August 1, 2006)
    • Grade D: 18 to 27 years (Born between August 2, 1997, and August 1, 2006)

Application Process:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to ssc.gov.in.
  2. Registration: Click on the “Register Now” link in the “Login” section and complete the registration form with personal details.
  3. Log In: Use the provided registration ID, birth date, and password to log in.
  4. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature.
  5. Complete Application: Fill out Part 2 of the application form with required details and submit it.

Application Fee:

  • General and OBC Candidates: Rs 100
  • SC, ST, PWD, Ex-Servicemen, and Female Candidates: Exempted

Exam Pattern:

  • Computer-Based Examination (CBE):
    • Sections: General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, English Language and Comprehension
    • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer
    • Duration: 2 hours
    • Language: Questions will be set in both Hindi and English

Selection Process:

  1. Computer-Based Examination (CBE): Objective type questions covering various subjects.
  2. Skill Test in Stenography: Candidates will be tested on their stenography skills.
