The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has extended the registration deadline for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2024. Interested candidates now have until August 30, 2024, at 5:00 pm to apply for the exam. The registration process, which began on July 23, 2024, can be completed on the official JAC website.
The JHTET 2024 exam consists of two papers: Paper 1, for candidates aiming to teach classes I to V, and Paper 2, for those aspiring to teach classes VI to VIII.
Steps to Apply for JHTET 2024:
- Visit the official JAC admission portal at https://www.jactetportal.com/.
- On the homepage, click on “Register Now” for fresh registration.
- Fill in the required details, such as name, date of birth, and address, and create a password.
- Make the payment and submit the form.
- Download the PDF of the form for future reference.
Application Fees:
- Unreserved (UR), Economically Backward Class (EBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): Rs 1,300 per paper or Rs 1,500 for both papers.
- Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD): Rs 700 per paper or Rs 800 for both papers.
- Primitive Tribe Candidates: Rs 500 per paper or Rs 600 for both papers.
Age Requirements:
- Paper I: Minimum age is 18 years.
- Paper II: Minimum age is 21 years.
- No upper age limit for either paper.
Candidates are encouraged to complete their registrations promptly before the deadline.
