The National Institute of Design (NID) has commenced the online registration process for the Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT) Prelims 2025. The exam is for admission to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M.Des) programmes.

- Registration Begins: September 3, 2024
- Last Date to Apply: December 3, 2024, till 4 PM
- Application Correction Window: December 4 to 9, 2024
- Admit Card Release: December 24, 2024
- Prelims Exam Date: January 5, 2025
Eligibility Criteria
- B.Des: Candidates who have passed or are expected to pass Class 12 from a recognized board in the academic year 2024-2025.
- M.Des: Candidates must have completed Class 12 and hold a full-time certificate in design, fine arts, applied arts, or architecture, or a three- or four-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
How to Register
- Visit the Official Website: Go to nid.edu.
- Select ‘Academic’ Option: On the homepage, choose the ‘Academic’ option.
- Click on Admission Link: Find and click on “Admission 2025–26 for B Des and M Des is now OPEN.”
- Signup: Register and continue with the application form.
- Submit Application: Complete the form, pay the registration fee, and print a copy for your records.
Exam Schedule
- B.Des Prelims: January 5, 2025 (10 AM to 1 PM)
- M.Des Prelims: January 5, 2025 (10 AM to 12:30 PM)

- Rechecking Request: February 17 to 18, 2025
- Mains Admit Card: February 24, 2025
