The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has extended the registration deadline for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024. Prospective candidates can now register on the official IIM website, iimcat.ac.in, until September 20.
Key Details:
- Exam Date: The CAT 2024 will be conducted on November 24 across 170 cities in India.
- Shift 1: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
- Shift 2: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
- Shift 3: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
- Admit Card Distribution: November 5, 2024
- Result Declaration: Expected in the second week of January 2025
Eligibility Criteria:
- General Candidates: Must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate marks or an equivalent CGPA.
- SC, ST, and PwD Candidates: Minimum aggregate of 45%.
- Final Year Students: Can apply provisionally if their results are pending.
Registration Process:
- Visit: Go to iimcat.ac.in.
- Register: Click on “New Candidate Registration” on the homepage.
- Create Account: Register using a valid phone number and email address.
- Login: Use the generated password and registration number to log in.
- Complete Application: Fill out and submit the CAT 2024 application, along with the required payment.
- Download: Save a copy of the application form for future reference.
Application Fee:
- General Category: ₹2,500
- SC, ST, PwD: ₹1,250
Exam Pattern:
The CAT 2024 will feature three sections, each with a 40-minute duration:
- Quantitative Ability (QA/Quants)
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
Candidates are not allowed to switch between sections during the exam.
