The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has initiated the recruitment process for over 39,000 Constable GD positions, with applications open until October 14, 2024. This drive will recruit constables for several forces, including the CAPF (BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, NIA, SSF), Rifleman in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in the Narcotics Control Bureau.

SSC GD Constable Recruitment Examination Pattern:
The written examination will be computer-based and will cover subjects at the 10th-grade level. The test is divided into four parts, each with 20 questions worth 40 marks:
- Part A: General Intelligence & Reasoning
- Part B: General Knowledge & General Awareness
- Part C: Mathematics
- Part D: English/Hindi
- Total Time: 60 minutes
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
- Languages: The exam will be conducted in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages such as Assamese, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, and more.
Selection Process:
Candidates must pass the computer-based test, followed by physical and medical tests. After normalizing the scores, bonus marks will be added to candidates holding NCC certificates, and these will be factored into the final merit list. The exam will be held in multiple shifts to accommodate the large number of applicants.
