Improvement and Retake Policy

Students who had passed either Exam 1 or Exam 2 and wished to improve their scores were eligible to apply for the 2nd PUC Exam 3. The state board has replaced the previous supply exams with a system that allows students three chances to take the final exams. Previously, only the marks received in the supplementary examination were considered final. Now, the board has introduced a remedial system that allows students to retain their best scores from the first, second, and third examinations, aiming to provide a more student-friendly mechanism.

In the academic year 2022-23, when KSEAB introduced a third examination for second-year PU candidates, 1.19 lakh students registered, with 41,961 passing.
