HPPSC Begins Recruitment for 1,088 Constable Positions

The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has initiated the recruitment process for 1,088 constable posts across various departments. Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 26 years old.
• Educational Qualification: Applicants must have completed Matriculation and Class 12 from any institution, school, or board located within Himachal Pradesh.

Application Process

To apply for the constable positions, candidates should follow these steps:

1. Visit the official HPPSC website: hppsc.hp.gov.in.
2. Click on the HPPSC Constable Recruitment 2024 link on the homepage.
3. Fill in the required personal and academic information on the new page that appears.
4. Review the information carefully and submit the application form.
5. Scan and upload all necessary documents and click the submit button.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of multiple stages:

1. Physical Test: The first stage includes the Physical Standard Test (PST) and the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
2. Written Test: Shortlisted candidates from the physical test will take a written examination worth 90 marks. This offline test will be of two hours duration and consists of multiple-choice questions.
3. Document Verification: Candidates who qualify for the physical and written tests will undergo document verification conducted by the HP Police Department. Marks from NCC certificates will also be considered during this stage.
4. Medical Examination: The final stage is a medical examination scheduled by the HP Police Department after receiving recommendations from HPPSC.

Salary Structure

Selected candidates will be appointed for specialized duties within the Pay Band Level 3. The expected salary range is between Rs 20,200 and Rs 64,000, in accordance with the Himachal Pradesh Police Department (Recruitment of Constables) Rules, 2024.
