CSIR UGC NET 2024: Tentative Answer Key Released, Challenge Deadline August 11

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the tentative answer key for the Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET) 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now access and download the answer key, response sheet, and question paper from the official website at csirnet.nta.ac.in.

The official notice states, “The National Testing Agency has uploaded the Provisional Answer Keys along with the Question Papers with Recorded Responses on the website https://csirnet.nta.ac.in/ for inviting challenges (if any) to the Provisional Answer Key of any question ONLINE only.” To view the answer key, candidates must log in using their Application Number and Date of Birth. Those wishing to challenge the answer key can do so by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per question. The deadline for submitting challenges is August 11, 11:50 pm.

How to Challenge the CSIR UGC NET 2024 Answer Key:

  1. Visit the official website: csirnet.nta.ac.in.
  2. Click on the link labeled “Joint CSIR-UGC NET JULY-2024: Click here to Answer Key Challenge.”
  3. On the login page, enter your Application Number and Date of Birth.
  4. Review the answer key and question paper by selecting “View Question Paper” and “Click to view/Challenge Answer Key.”
  5. Choose the appropriate Option IDs if you wish to contest any answers and attach valid proof.
  6. Pay the required fee and submit the challenge form. Save a copy of the form for future reference.

Challenges will be reviewed, and any necessary changes will be made to the answer key. The final answer key will be used to prepare and announce the results. Note that the decision of the exam subject experts will be final, and the NTA will not provide updates on the status of individual challenges.

The CSIR UGC NET 2024 exam was held from July 25 to July 27, with two shifts on July 25 and 26: the first session from 9 am to 12 noon and the second session from 3 pm to 6 pm. This year’s exam was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode at 348 examination centres across 187 cities, with over 2,25,335 candidates participating. The exam assesses eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Lectureship (LS), Assistant Professor roles, and PhD programmes.
