A 48-year-old school teacher, Shivkumar Ahirwar, was found hanging from a fan in his room in Alamkhor village, Uttar Pradesh’s Banda district, on Sunday. Ahirwar, who served as an ad hoc teacher (‘Shiksha Mitra’) at a local government primary school, reportedly struggled with alcoholism and had been distressed over the past few days due to financial difficulties related to his drinking habits.
