The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially commenced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate Counselling 2024 today, August 14. This counselling is crucial for candidates who have successfully cleared NEET UG 2024 and are looking to secure MBBS and BDS seats under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ).

Important Dates for NEET UG Counselling 2024

  • Registration Window: August 14 – August 20 (noon)
  • Payment Window: August 14 – August 20 (noon)
  • Preliminary Seat Matrix Verification: August 14 – 15 (by participating institutes and the National Medical Commission)
  • Choice Filling Window: August 16 – August 20 (until 11:55 pm)
  • Choice Locking: August 20 (4 pm to 11:55 pm)
  • Seat Allocation (Round 1): August 21 – 22
  • Result Declaration: August 23
  • Reporting to Assigned Institutions: August 24 – 29

Steps to Register for NEET UG Counselling 2024

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to mcc.nic.in.
  2. Access NEET UG 2024 Counselling: Click on the section dedicated to NEET UG 2024 counselling.
  3. Start Registration: Click on the registration link for NEET UG 2024 and fill in the required details.
  4. Complete the Application: Log in to your account to finalize the registration process.
  5. Upload Documents: Upload the necessary documents and pay the registration fee.
  6. Download Application: Save and print your completed NEET UG Counselling 2024 application form for future reference.

Counselling Process Details

  • Rounds: The counselling process will include four rounds: AIQ Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and the online stray vacant round.
  • Seats: The process covers seats under the AIQ, deemed institutions, central universities, all AIIMS institutes, and JIPMER (Puducherry and Karaikal).

Revised NEET UG 2024 Results

  • The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the revised NEET UG 2024 results on July 26. Notably, only 17 students achieved a perfect score this year—a sharp decrease from the original 67 toppers. This revision followed a Supreme Court directive to recalculate the results, taking into account feedback from IIT Delhi regarding a disputed Physics question.

Candidates are advised to complete their registration early and follow the instructions carefully to ensure a smooth counselling process.
