NGO Helps Underprivileged Students Pass NEET-UG 2021
Murshid Khan, the son of an auto-rickshaw driver from Bhubaneshwar, Odisha, achieved success in his fourth attempt at the NEET-UG 2021 exam, thanks to the Zindagi Foundation NGO. Founded by Ajay Bahadur Singh in Bhubaneswar, this NGO aims to support underprivileged students in achieving their dreams of becoming doctors.
Murshid Khan secured a national rank of 15,239 in NEET-UG 2021, becoming the pride of his neighborhood and the first student from his area to pass this prestigious exam. Coming from a poor family background, Murshid’s journey was supported by the Zindagi Foundation, which provides free food, lodging, and coaching to deserving students in Odisha.
The foundation, inspired by educationist Ajay Bahadur Singh, selects deserving students through an examination process and supports them throughout their NEET preparation. Despite challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic, the foundation ensured that students were equipped with smartphones for online learning.
Other successful students supported by the Zindagi Foundation include Subhash Chandra Behera, the son of a milk vendor, and Shivani Meher, whose father worked as a weaver. These students, despite financial constraints, were able to pursue their dreams of becoming doctors due to the foundation’s assistance.
The Zindagi Foundation, akin to Anand Kumar’s Super 30, continues to uplift underprivileged students and has received visits from Anand Kumar himself, motivating and inspiring its students to achieve academic excellence.
This initiative highlights the transformative impact of dedicated NGOs in empowering students from marginalized backgrounds to succeed in competitive examinations like NEET-UG.
