Mumbai: The Adani Foundation has officially assumed management of Mount Carmel Convent Senior Secondary School in Cement Nagar, Chandrapur, as of September 2024. The takeover follows a decision made by the Carmel Education Society to discontinue managing the school, with the transfer initiated by ACC Ltd in June 2023.
In a statement, the Adani Foundation confirmed that all required protocols were followed, with approvals obtained from both the CBSE and the state government. This marks a new chapter for the school, which is known for its strong legacy but has been facing challenges in infrastructure development.
The Adani Foundation has already begun implementing several improvements, focusing on infrastructure enhancement, teacher training, and student support services. The school is also working toward NABET accreditation, which it aims to secure by 2025. The Foundation, a non-profit organization, reiterated its commitment to reinvesting resources back into the school for its continued development and success.
This transition reflects the Adani Foundation’s broader commitment to education, with the goal of enhancing learning environments and supporting long-term growth.
