Government schools in Ludhiana recently hosted their quarterly parent-teacher meetings (PTMs) with added enthusiasm, showcasing various initiatives aimed at engaging parents and promoting student creativity. Special efforts were made to welcome parents, who eagerly interacted with teachers to discuss the academic progress of their children.

GST Awareness and the ‘Mera Bill App’

As part of the event, a special lecture was conducted at Government Senior Secondary School, Cemetery Road, in collaboration with the GST Department. Ludhiana Assistant Commissioner GST, Shiney Singh, introduced the parents and teachers to the ‘Mera Bill App’, explaining its benefits and how participants could win prizes by using it. The interactive session saw parents asking questions about the app, all of which were answered by the official, creating greater awareness about the importance of bills and tax compliance.

Student Projects Under the Business Blaster Program

At Government Senior Secondary School, Jawahar Nagar, students proudly displayed their creativity through stalls under the Business Blaster Project. The students had crafted a variety of products, including candles, diyas, clay art, food items, and more. Parents were visibly impressed and supported their children by placing orders for the showcased items, thereby encouraging them to pursue entrepreneurial ideas.

The entire event not only highlighted student achievements but also fostered better communication between parents, teachers, and students.
