The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), through its Committee on Career Counselling, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Skill Education, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on 21st November 2024, at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. This initiative focuses on commerce-based skill development to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional requirements.


Objectives of the Partnership

The collaboration aims to enhance students’ employability in commerce-related fields, particularly in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) industry. Key aspects include:

  • Curriculum Development: ICAI will assist CBSE with designing courses, study materials, and training modules aligned with industry needs.
  • Career Awareness: Workshops and awareness programs will be conducted to inform students and educators about career opportunities in accounting and finance.
