The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has released a revised circular detailing the updated emoluments for Junior Research Fellows (JRF), Senior Research Fellows (SRF) pursuing PhD programs within the ICAR-AU system, and Research Associates (RA) involved in various ICAR-funded schemes.
According to the official notification, the changes reflect a partial modification to the ICAR’s previous circular dated July 30, 2019, with the following updates:

The revised emoluments will be effective from the date of issuance of the official circular.
Additionally, the House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be provided according to the existing central government rates applicable to the respective cities or locations where JRFs, SRFs, and RAs are working on ICAR-funded projects. The additional expenditure incurred will be covered by the sanctioned budget of the relevant schemes.
