India Post GDS 2024 Results Expected Soon: How to Check the Merit List

The Department of Post (India Post) is anticipated to release the results for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Recruitment 2024 soon. Candidates who applied for the India Post GDS 2024 can check their results and the first merit list on the official website: indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. Along with the merit list, the department will also announce the cut-off marks.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on a merit list prepared by considering their Class 10 grades. As per the official notification from India Post:

  • “The Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained/conversion of Grades/Points to marks in the Secondary School Examination of the 10th standard of recognized Boards aggregated to a percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals.”

Notification Process: Candidates whose names appear on the GDS Final Merit list will receive notifications via SMS and their registered email address. Following the release of the results, the department will conduct document verification for the shortlisted candidates. The specific dates for document verification will be communicated via SMS.

Steps to Check India Post GDS 2024 Result:

  2. Navigate to Results: Click on the “GDS Result/Merit List” tab on the homepage.
  3. Log In: Enter your registration number and password.
  4. Submit: Click the submit button to view your result.
  5. Download and Save: Your result will appear on the screen. Download and save it for future reference.

Recruitment Details: This year, the recruitment drive aims to fill 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak positions across 23 postal circles in India. The vacancies are spread across multiple states, including:

  • Rajasthan: 2,718 positions
  • Bihar: 2,558 positions
  • Uttar Pradesh: 4,588 positions
  • Chhattisgarh: 1,338 positions
  • Madhya Pradesh: 4,011 positions

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Basic Computer Skills: Candidates must have basic computer knowledge.
  • Cycling Skills: Proficiency in cycling is required.
  • Financial Literacy: Basic understanding of financial concepts is essential.

Job Roles and Pay Scale:

  • Assistant Branch Postmaster: Pay scale ranges from ₹10,000 to ₹24,470.
  • Branch Postmaster: Pay scale ranges from ₹12,000 to ₹29,380.
  • Chowkidar: Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹20,000.
