Registrations for the 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) posts are closing today. Candidates who are eligible and looking for employment opportunities can fill out and submit the application form by the end of the day. The direct link to apply is available on the official website at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The registration process for the India Post GDS Recruitment 2024 began on July 15, 2024. The correction window will open on August 6 and close on August 8, 2024.
Registration Requirements
When registering online, the mobile number and email ID must be unique and validated for mapping as a registered email/mobile number. An OTP will be sent to the given mobile number and email ID for this validation.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Secondary School Examination pass certificate of class X with passing marks in Mathematics and English from any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/Union Territories in India.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years old. Age relaxation is provided for reserved category candidates.
How to Apply
Follow these steps to apply for the India Post GDS recruitment:
- Mobile Number: Enter a 10-digit mobile number.
- Email: Enter a valid Email ID.
- Applicant’s Name: Enter your name as per the secondary school certificate.
- Father’s/Mother’s Name: Enter your father’s or mother’s name as per the secondary school certificate.
- Date of Birth: Enter your date of birth as per the secondary school certificate.
- Gender: Select your gender.
- (a) Select (In Case of Transgender): This field will be enabled only if you select Transgender.
- Community: Select the community as per the community certificate.
- Circle in Which Secondary School Passed: Enter the respective postal circle according to the state where you passed. The list of states and corresponding circles can be viewed by clicking the link “click here to know your circle”.
- Year of Passing Secondary School: Enter the year of passing class X.
- Aadhaar Number: Enter your 12-digit unique Aadhaar number.
- Disability Status: Select Yes/No according to your disability status.
- (a) Type of Disability: This field will be enabled only if you select “Yes”.
- (i) Select PWD SubCategory: Select the respective PWD sub-category.
- Languages Studied in Class X: Select the languages you studied in class X. Multiple selections are allowed.
- Employment Status: Select Yes/No according to your employment status.
- (a) Employer NOC: This field will be enabled if you select “Yes”.
Important Notes
- The Department of Posts does not make phone calls or send SMS to candidates for depositing any money. All selected candidates will receive a system-generated SMS for their selection.
- Correspondence, if any, is made through respective recruiting authorities only.
- Candidates are advised not to disclose their registration number and mobile numbers and to be cautious of unscrupulous phone calls.
- It is recommended to submit online applications well before the closing date to avoid last-minute issues due to heavy website traffic.
