The Indian Navy has announced recruitment for the position of Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) Medical Assistant. This opportunity is open to unmarried candidates who have completed their 12th-grade education with specific subject requirements.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have passed their 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, scoring a minimum of 50% overall and at least 40% in each subject.
- Age Limit: Candidates must have been born between November 1, 2003, and April 30, 2007.
Physical Standards
- Minimum Height: 157 cm
- Chest Expansion: At least 5 cm
Physical Fitness Test
Candidates will need to complete the following:
- Run: 1.6 km within 6 minutes and 30 seconds
- Sit-ups: 20
- Pushups: 15
- Bent-Knee Sit-ups: 15
Salary and Allowances
- Training Period Salary: Rs 14,600 per month
- Post-Training Salary: Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100 per month (Defense Pay Matrix Level-3)
- Military Service Pay: Rs 5,200 per month
- Other Benefits: Uniforms, reading materials, food, and living quarters provided during training and service. Opportunities for promotion up to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer-I.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting: Based on 12th-grade marks.
- Physical Fitness Test: Candidates who are shortlisted will undergo the fitness test.
- Written Exam: Followed by a written examination.
- Medical Examination: Final selection after medical assessment.
