In a remarkable achievement for Indian education, three schools have been awarded the World’s Best School Prizes 2024 for their exceptional contributions in various categories, showcasing innovation, environmental action, and community impact. The winners include Ryan International School in Delhi, CM RISE School Vinoba in Madhya Pradesh, and Kalvi International Public School in Tamil Nadu, each excelling in their respective prize categories.
Environmental Action Award: Ryan International School
Delhi’s Ryan International School received the prestigious World’s Best School Prize for Environmental Action. The school has garnered attention for its proactive initiatives addressing critical issues such as water scarcity and pollution, notably through innovative projects like hydroponics and biogas plants. With the accompanying prize money of $10,000, Ryan International plans to further expand its sustainable projects and launch a start-up incubator aimed at promoting student-led environmental initiatives.
Grace Pinto, the Managing Director of Ryan International School, expressed immense joy at the recognition, stating, “We are immensely thrilled that our Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj, has been crowned as the World Champion for Environmental Action in 2024. Innovation Award: CM RISE School Vinoba
CM RISE School Vinoba in Madhya Pradesh secured the title in the Innovation category. Originally established as a school for tribal girls in an urban slum, CM RISE has evolved into a comprehensive kindergarten-to-secondary school. Its mission focuses on empowering marginalized communities through progressive educational practices, making it a standout contender in the competition.
Community Choice Award: Kalvi International Public School
In the Community Choice Award category, Kalvi International Public School in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, emerged as the winner, selected from a shortlist of 50 schools. This accolade emphasizes Kalvi’s commitment to community engagement, where it actively uplifts local communities through targeted educational initiatives.

India’s success in securing three awards highlights the country’s global standing in progressive education.
