Anshika’s story is one of perseverance, overcoming personal tragedies to achieve her dream of becoming an IPS officer. Born and raised in Delhi, she faced a devastating loss at just five years old when both her parents passed away. Her grandmother and uncle took over her care, and it was her grandmother, a dedicated teacher, who instilled in her a strong belief in the power of education. From a young age, her grandmother encouraged Anshika to aim for prestigious roles like an IAS or IPS officer.
Anshika pursued her education with dedication, starting at Delhi University and later earning a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from Ramjas College. Despite job offers post-graduation, she chose to continue her studies and completed a Master of Commerce (MCom), recognizing the value of a solid academic foundation.
In 2019, Anshika faced another major setback when her grandmother passed away. Though heartbroken, she remained focused on her goal of becoming an IPS officer. She began preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) but encountered repeated failures, not passing the exam in four attempts.
Despite these setbacks, Anshika’s determination never wavered. She kept pushing forward, learning from each failure, and in her fifth attempt in 2022, she succeeded. Anshika passed the UPSC CSE with a rank of 306, securing her place in the Indian Police Service.
Her journey is a powerful reminder of resilience, hard work, and the strength to keep going in the face of adversity.
