The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), a division of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), has announced a recruitment drive to fill 585 Apprentice Trainee positions. Interested candidates can apply through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at nats.education.gov.in and prepare for the walk-in interview at VSSC in Thiruvananthapuram.
Candidates selected will undergo training under the Apprentices Act of 1961, including the 1973 Amendment Act, which requires a contract registration in the NATS portal. Trainees will engage in a year-long program starting from their joining date, during which Graduate Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 9,000, while Technician Apprentices receive Rs. 8,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have obtained their degree or diploma within five years of the month and year of passing as per the certificate. Those beyond this five-year mark are ineligible.
- Priority Regions: Candidates from universities or technical boards under the Southern Region of BoAT, specifically from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Puducherry, will receive priority consideration. Candidates from other regions may be considered only if there is a shortage of applicants in a particular discipline.

Technician Apprentice (Diploma in Engineering)

- PWD: Additional 10 years
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on academic merit, with reservation policies duly applied. The final induction will be subject to the availability of positions and the candidate’s standing in the panel.
