The School Education Department of Karnataka has officially released the results for the Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2024. The KARTET 2024 examination was conducted on June 30, 2024, in two shifts. The answer keys for Paper 1 and Paper 2 were released on July 8, 2024.
Eligibility Criteria for KARTET 2024:
- There is no age limit for applying.
- For Primary Teacher (Classes 1 to 5): Candidates must have at least 50% in their Class 12 examination and must be passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) or a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd).
- For Upper Primary Teacher (Classes 6 to 8): Candidates must have at least 50% in their graduation or must be passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) or a Bachelor of Education (BEd).
Application Fee:
- For General/2A/2B/3A/3B candidates: Rs 700 for one paper and Rs 1,000 for both papers.
- For SC/ST/CI candidates: Rs 350 for one paper and Rs 500 for both papers.
- Fees can be paid via debit card, credit card, or net banking.
Exam Pattern:
- The KARTET 2024 was conducted in offline mode.
- Each paper was scored out of 150 points, with no negative marking for incorrect answers.
- Both papers consisted of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and the examination duration was 2 hours and 30 minutes.
