The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta is closing the registration for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 today, September 20, at 5 PM. Candidates who have not yet applied can visit the official website iimcat.ac.in to complete their registration.
IIM CAT 2024: Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (or an equivalent CGPA).
- For candidates in the SC, ST, and PwD categories, a minimum score of 45% is required.
- Candidates in their final year of study or those who have appeared for the degree examination (but results are pending) can apply provisionally.
IIM CAT 2024: Application Fee
- General Category: ₹2,500
- SC, ST, PwD: ₹1,250
How to Apply for IIM CAT 2024
- Visit the official IIM Calcutta website: iimcat.ac.in.
- Click on “New Candidate Registration” on the homepage.
- Register using your phone number and email address.
- After registration, log in using the generated password and registration number.
- Complete the CAT 2024 application form and submit the required payment.
- Download the application form for future reference.
IIM CAT 2024: Exam Pattern
- The CAT 2024 exam will have three sections:
- Quantitative Ability (QA/Quants)
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
- Candidates will have 120 minutes to complete the test, with 40 minutes allocated to each section. Note that no section switching is permitted during the exam.
Exam Schedule
- The exam will be held in three sessions across 170 cities nationwide:
- First Shift: 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM
- Second Shift: 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
- Third Shift: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Important Dates
- Admit Card Release: November 5, 2024
- Results Announcement: Expected in the second week of January 2025
