The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has released the dates for the Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) board exams for the academic year 2024-25. According to The Times of India, the board will conduct the exams eight to ten days earlier than in previous years. Schools across Maharashtra have until August 23, 2024, to provide feedback or address concerns regarding the exam schedule.
HSC (Class 12) and Vocational Course Exams:
- Written Exams: February 11, 2025 – March 18, 2025
- Oral, Practical, and Internal Assessments: January 24, 2025 – February 10, 2025
SSC (Class 10) Exams:
- Written Exams: February 21, 2025 – March 17, 2025
- Internal Assessments and Practical Exams: February 3, 2025 – February 20, 2025
Typically, the HSC exams begin in the third week of February, followed by the SSC exams in the first week of March. Results are usually announced by the end of May or the first week of June. However, this year, the exam dates have been moved forward.
2024 Exam Results Recap:
- SSC (Class 10): Results were announced on May 27, 2024, with a pass rate of 95.81%. Girls outperformed boys, and the Konkan division was the best-performing district.
- HSC (Class 12): The overall pass rate was 93.37%, with girls achieving a 95.44% pass rate and boys at 91.60%. The Science stream was the highest performer with a 97.82% pass rate, followed by Commerce at 92.18%, Arts at 85.88%, Vocational at 87.75%, and ITI at 87.69%.
