The Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE), Pune, has opened the registration process for the Maharashtra Teacher’s Eligibility Test (TET) 2024. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website, mahatet.in, with the application deadline set for September 30. The exam will be held on November 10, and admit cards will be issued on October 28.
Maharashtra TET 2024: Eligibility Criteria
- Paper 1 (Primary Classes): Candidates must have completed Class 12 and hold a Diploma in Education (DEd) or a Bachelor of Education (BEd).
- Paper 2 (Upper-Primary Classes): Applicants must have completed Class 12 and hold a graduation degree, along with a DEd or BEd.
- Both Papers: Candidates should have completed Class 12 and hold a graduation degree, with DEd or BEd as mandatory qualifications.
How to Apply for Maharashtra TET 2024
- Visit the official website mahatet.in.
- Click on the ‘Login’ tab and register on the portal.
- After logging in, fill out the application form.
- Upload the necessary documents and pay the application fee.
- Submit the form and save a copy for future reference.
Application Fee
- SC/ST/Handicapped (40%+ disability): Rs 700 (for one paper), Rs 900 (for both papers)
- OBC, EWS, SEBC, Open, SBC, NT-B, C, D, VJA, TA categories: Rs 1,000 (for one paper), Rs 1,200 (for both papers)
Exam Pattern
- Paper 1: 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), held from 10:30 AM to 1 PM.
- Paper 2: 150 MCQs, held from 2 PM to 4:30 PM.
- Each correct answer scores 1 mark, and there is no negative marking.
- Paper 1 is for teaching Classes 1-5, while Paper 2 is for Classes 6-8.
