The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the deadline for the choice-filling process for Round 1 of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) counselling. Eligible candidates can now fill their choices until August 21, 11:59 pm by visiting the official MCC website.
Additionally, the choice-locking facility for NEET UG will open today at 5 pm. Initially, this was scheduled to start on August 20 at 4 pm and close at 11:55 pm, but the timeline was extended along with the choice-filling window.
Key Instructions for NEET UG Candidates
- Download the ‘Sandes’ App: MCC has advised candidates to download the ‘Sandes’ app to stay updated on notifications related to NEET UG counselling.
- Choice Modification and Locking: Candidates can modify their choices before locking them. It is mandatory to lock choices during the designated period to secure a printout of the submitted preferences. If a candidate fails to lock their choices, the system will automatically lock them according to the scheduled timeline. Note that once choices are locked, they cannot be unlocked by the MCC.

- Round 1 Seat Allotment Result: August 23, 2024
- Reporting to Allotted Institutes: August 24-29, 2024
- Round 2 Registration: Starts on September 5, 2024, and continues until September 10, 2024 (12 noon)
