Rohtak: The Union Ministry of Education has approved a Global Initiative on Academic Network (GIAN) programme following a proposal submitted by Prof Ramphul Ohlan from the Institute of Management Studies and Research (IMSAR) at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU).
Funding and Workshop Details
A grant of Rs 6,64,000 has been sanctioned for the programme. As part of this initiative, a five-day workshop titled “Managerial Efficiency and Productivity Measurement: Theory and Practice” will be conducted at MDU, featuring Prof Subal Kumbhakar from the Department of Economics, State University of New York, as the foreign faculty. Prof Ohlan stated that the workshop aims to equip participants with skills to enhance the efficiency and productivity of business organizations, thereby improving business analytics competencies among students at IMSAR.
Coordinators and Faculty Experts
Prof BS Murty, Director of IIT-Hyderabad, will serve as the national coordinator for the programme, while Prof Arup Mitra from South Asian University, New Delhi, has been designated as a national faculty expert for the course.
