Haryana’s Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda has announced that the state will implement the National Education Policy (NEP) next year, aligning with the state’s vision for educational reform. Speaking during a visit to 10 villages in the Panipat Rural Assembly constituency, Dhanda emphasized that revitalizing government schools and prioritizing rural education are at the forefront of his agenda for the next five years.

Addressing residents, Dhanda outlined his commitment to public service and educational improvement. “To change the meaning of politics, one must undergo rigorous dedication. That is what I am doing. I will neither engage in wrongdoings nor support those who do. In my view, public service is national service, and I will not tolerate any negligence in this regard,” he said.

Dhanda called on parents in rural areas to prioritize their children’s education and enroll them in government schools, assuring them of quality results. He stressed that the government is dedicated to fulfilling the aspirations of the rural population, noting, “My entire life is dedicated to the service of rural people, and I am walking this path to serve them. It may take some time to fix the system, but in the end, the results will be very positive.”

The minister underscored the government’s commitment to educational development and upliftment for all societal sections. “We are focusing on the development of every section of society. The policies of both the central and state governments are giving a boost to development,” he stated.

The NEP, aimed at providing sustainable employment for graduates and diploma holders, will be an essential part of the state’s educational landscape from next year. Dhanda explained the advantages of the policy and called for community support in its implementation. “Basic amenities are being provided in all schools,” he noted, emphasizing that the state is dedicated to ensuring school facilities meet modern standards.

Highlighting the administration’s broader educational goals, Dhanda reiterated the government’s focus on ensuring a bright future for children through quality education. He mentioned, “The era of ‘bribes’ and ‘recommendations’ is over. Now, the youth who are talented would rise.”

Additionally, the minister pointed out initiatives aimed at enhancing safety and respect for women in all spheres. This comprehensive approach underscores the government’s mission to create an educational environment that supports academic growth, social equity, and security.

As the NEP’s implementation nears, the state’s commitment to educational transformation remains clear, with emphasis placed on enhancing government schools and preparing youth for the future through a reformed and strengthened educational system.
