The National Testing Agency (NTA) is anticipated to release the results and final answer key for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (Joint CSIR UGC-NET) this week. Candidates who appeared for the exam can access their scorecards on the official website once the results are announced.
Steps to Check the Scorecard:
- Visit the Official Website: https://csirnet.nta.ac.in
- Locate the Result Link: On the homepage, click on “Joint CSIR UGC-NET Result 2024”.
- Enter Login Details: Input your application number and date of birth.
- Submit Information: Your result will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and Save: Download the scorecard and save it for future reference.
Provisional Answer Key and Certification:
The NTA released the provisional answer key on August 9, with a window open until August 11 for candidates to raise objections. Following the release of the final results, qualified candidates will receive their certificates and JRF Award Letters from the NTA.
About the Joint CSIR UGC-NET Exam:
This exam determines the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), assistant professorship, and admission to PhD programs in Indian universities and colleges. Administered by the NTA, the exam is conducted biannually in December and June using a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.
Exam Details:
- Subjects Covered: Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.
- Exam Dates: The exam was conducted on July 25, 26, and 27, 2024, in two shifts.
- Qualification Criteria: General, EWS, and OBC candidates need to secure a minimum of 33% marks, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates must secure at least 25% to qualify.
The NTA reported that the test was conducted for 2,25,335 students across 348 examination centers in 187 cities nationwide.
