The Higher Education Department of Odisha has announced the third and final seat allotment list for the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) 2024. Candidates can check their provisional seat allotment results through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) Odisha website.
How to Check Round 3 Seat Allotment Result:
- Visit the Official Website: Go to samsodisha.gov.in.
- Locate the Link: On the homepage, find the ‘Post Graduation’ section under Higher Education and click on it.
- Find the Result Link: Click on “Know your selection status (Round 3)”.
- Enter Credentials: Provide your Barcode No. and Registered Mobile No., then enter the displayed Captcha and click the submit button.
- View Result: Your CPET 2024 Round 3 seat allotment result will be displayed. Save a copy for future reference.

- Seat Acceptance Deadline: September 13, 2024.
Next Steps for Allotted Candidates
Once you receive your seat allotment, you have three options:
- Freeze: Accept the allocated seat and confirm your admission at the designated college by September 13, 2024.
- Slide-up: Opt for an upgrade process for a chance to secure a seat in a higher-ranked college if available.
- Float: Retain the allotted seat while participating in the upgrade process. Note that there is a risk of losing your current seat if you do not upgrade to a preferred college.
Note: The CPET exam was conducted from July 3 to July 14, with the state-wide merit list published on August 5. Only candidates who participated in the choice-filling process from August 6 to August 12 are included in the seat allotment list.
