The Pune Zilla Parishad has taken action against unauthorized educational institutions by ordering the closure of 13 schools. Sanjay Naikade, the primary education officer for the Pune Zilla Parishad, reported that police complaints have been filed against 10 of these schools, with cases against the remaining three to be filed soon.

Background:
- Earlier Actions: The Pune Zilla Parishad had previously identified 49 unauthorized schools. Among these, five were later approved, three received a letter of intent from the government, four filed petitions in court, and two paid fines.
School Closures Due to Heavy Rains
Due to heavy rains and a red alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), schools in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, and nearby areas will be closed today, July 25. The order, issued by Collector Suhas Diwase, also applies to Bhor, Velhe, Maval, Mulshi, and Khadakwasla.
