Rajasthan School Education Minister Madan Dilawar has called on teachers to uphold exemplary conduct in schools to foster good values among students. Speaking at the inauguration of the Upper Primary Sanskrit School building in Nrusinghpuri village, Dilawar highlighted the importance of teachers setting a positive example through their behavior and appearance.
He urged educators to dress appropriately, arrive at school on time, use respectful language, and avoid tobacco use to help instill healthy habits in students. “Many teachers expose their bodies. This does not inculcate good values in boys and girls,” he stated, emphasizing the need for teachers to consider their role as role models.
Dilawar expressed concern over teachers arriving late and using excuses for their tardiness, asserting that such behavior undermines their responsibility. He remarked, “Those who engage in such acts are not teachers; they are enemies of children. It is a sin to call them teachers. Our conduct should reflect the values we wish to impart.”
In addition to promoting a positive environment, the education minister announced a directive prohibiting teachers from leaving during duty hours for religious practices or prayers. This move aims to ensure that teachers remain focused on their responsibilities and provide a consistent presence for their students.
Dilawar’s comments serve as a reminder of the vital role teachers play in shaping the values and habits of future generations.
