In light of recent events, where 12 candidates tragically lost their lives during the fitness test, several changes are being introduced to the Jharkhand Police Constable Recruitment exam process. Following this, Chief Minister Hemant Soren initially ordered a three-day suspension of the recruitment process, which was subsequently extended.

For the Jharkhand Excise Constable Recruitment exam, new measures will now ensure that the tests are conducted exclusively between 5 am and 9 am. Additionally, only 1,500 candidates will be called for the fitness test each day, as opposed to the earlier figure of 2,000 candidates per selection center. This change ensures that the running process concludes by 9 am to mitigate risks.

The recruitment process timeline will be adjusted, with candidates being summoned in a sequential manner for physical examinations. A revised schedule will be released soon. To ensure the safety and well-being of candidates, all selection centers will be equipped with necessary medical facilities, including ambulances, medicines, and oxygen supplies.
