The recruitment process for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) positions under the Bihar Public Service Commission’s (BPSC) Teacher Recruitment Exam 3 (TRE 3) has hit a new snag. In a bid to ensure a fair and compliant recruitment process, the Bihar Education Department has requested revised vacancy data from each district. This action was necessitated after the General Administration Department (GAD) rejected the previously submitted vacancies due to discrepancies in the reservation roster.

The GAD identified that the initial roster did not align with the reservation guidelines, leading to the rejection of the proposed vacancies. In response, the Director of Secondary Education has instructed all District Education Officers (DEOs) across Bihar to rectify and submit the vacancy data within 24 hours. The updated information must accurately reflect the reservation requirements to facilitate the recruitment process.

Once the DEOs submit the corrected data, the GAD will conduct a thorough review of the reservation roster to ensure compliance with all guidelines, mitigating the risk of further setbacks in the recruitment timeline. Only after this re-evaluation will the GAD forward the validated vacancy data to the BPSC. This step is crucial to ensuring that the recruitment process adheres to legal standards, particularly regarding reservation quotas, as any oversight could lead to complications during the hiring process.

While this additional review may delay the recruitment timeline, the Education Department is committed to completing each step methodically and transparently. Once the reservation roster is finalized and approved, the BPSC will proceed to announce the results for Teacher Recruitment Exam 3. The department has reiterated its focus on conducting a transparent and legally compliant hiring process, which, although time-consuming, aims to prevent potential legal issues or discrepancies in the future.
