Mumbai, 5 October 2023 – Shri Gauranga Das Prabhu, a distinguished leader in mindfulness, sustainability, and social welfare, delivered a keynote address at the prestigious Intermarket Surveillance Group (ISG) Fall Conference 2023. The event, hosted by the National Stock Exchange of India, marked India’s first time as the host country for this significant international gathering.
The ISG, an eminent international body comprising 63 regulatory authorities overseeing securities and futures markets worldwide, provides a vital platform for surveillance professionals to share knowledge and best practices. This year’s conference, held at the Exchange premises, brought together a diverse audience of international and Indian participants.
Shri Gauranga Das Prabhu, Director of ISKCON’s Govardhan Ecovillage (GEV), shared his profound insights on mental health, focusing on the four sutras: Focus, Intention, Resilience, and Empathy. He emphasized the distinction between success and happiness, stating, “Success is getting what you like, and happiness is liking what you get,” and highlighted how ancient Vedic wisdom helps us understand this difference. His discourse resonated deeply with the audience, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage and philosophical depth on a global stage.

Gauranga Das, a graduate of IIT Bombay, chose the path of monastic life to better serve society. As a leadership and mindfulness coach, he is a member of ISKCON’s Governing Body Commission, enhancing leadership effectiveness and governance of temples and communities globally. He is also the director of ISKCON’s Govardhan Ecovillage (GEV), an award-winning initiative founded by Radhanath Swami. The GEV has received over thirty-six national and international accolades, including the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Award in 2017 for its innovative model of ‘Eco-Tourism as a Catalyst for Rural Development’.
