The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is inviting applications for the recruitment of General Duty (GD) constables in several paramilitary forces, including the BSF, CRPF, CISF, and ITBP. The application process, which began on September 5, 2024, will close on October 14, 2024. No extensions will be granted beyond the deadline.

- CRPF: 11,541 posts

- ITBP: 3,017 posts
- Assam Rifles (AR): 1,248 posts

- NCB: 22 posts
Application Fee:
- General Category: Rs 100
- Female, SC/ST, and Ex-Servicemen: No fee
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10th grade from a recognized board or institute.
- Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 23 years of age as of January 1, 2024. They must not be born before January 2, 2002, or after January 1, 2007.
Selection Process:
The recruitment process involves four stages:
- Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Document Verification and Medical Examination
Candidates must clear each stage to qualify for the GD constable position.
Exam Pattern:
- Total Questions: 80
- Total Marks: 160
- Time Duration: 60 minutes
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer
The exam covers four sections:
- General Intelligence and Reasoning
- General Knowledge and General Awareness
- Elementary Mathematics
- English/Hindi
