The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the application status for the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (MTS) and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2024 (Tier-I). This update precedes the release of the admit cards. Candidates who have applied for these exams can now check their application status through the SSC’s official regional websites.
Currently, the application status is available on the SSC Eastern Region website, with other regional sites expected to update shortly. The SSC MTS and Havaldar Exams 2024 are scheduled to begin on September 30, 2024, and will run until November 14, 2024. Admit cards for these exams are anticipated to be released soon.
Through this recruitment drive, the SSC aims to fill a total of 9,583 vacancies, including 6,144 for Multi-Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) positions and 3,439 for Havaldar roles.
How to Check SSC MTS and Havaldar Exam 2024 Application Status:
- Visit the regional SSC websites.
- Look for and click on the SSC MTS & Havaldar Exam 2024 application status link on the homepage.
- Enter your login details, including your Registration Number and Date of Birth.
- Enter the captcha code and click ‘Check Application Status’.
- Your application status will be displayed on the screen.
- Review the status and download the page for your records.
Exam Details:
- Format: The exam will be conducted in two sessions: Session I and Session II, both on the same day.
- Duration: Each session lasts 45 minutes.
- Questions: The exam will feature objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Session I questions will be available in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages. Session II’s General Awareness section will follow the same language format.
- Scoring: There is no negative marking in Session I. However, Session II will have a penalty of one mark for each incorrect response.
Selection Process:

- Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST) for Havaldar positions.
