The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Medical Education and Research is closing the registration window for the TN National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG counselling 2024 today, August 9, at 5 PM. Eligible candidates who have not yet enrolled for TN NEET UG counselling 2024 can apply through the official website, tnmedicalselection.net. The original deadline was August 8, but it was extended due to requests from candidates.

A merit list of qualified applicants for the initial round of counselling will be released by the counselling committee. This list will include only those students who have submitted a completed application. After the merit list is published, candidates will proceed to select their preferred courses and colleges.

TN NEET UG 2024 Counselling: How to Apply

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to tnmedicalselection.net.
  2. Select UG Courses: Click on the ‘UG courses’ option and choose ‘MBBS/BDS.’
  3. Application Link: Select the application link for MBBS/BDS courses at Tamil Nadu medical and dental institutes for the 2024–2025 session under the government quota or management quota, including NRIs.
  4. New Registration: Navigate to the online application tab and choose ‘new registration.’
  5. Register and Log In: Use the credentials generated during registration to log in.
  6. Complete the Application: Fill out the application form and attach the necessary documents.
  7. Pay the Fee: Pay the application fee and submit the form.
  8. Print Confirmation: Take a printout of the TN NEET UG counselling 2024 confirmation page for future reference.

Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2024 Counselling: Documents Required

  • NEET UG Admit Card and Scorecard
  • Marksheets of Classes 10 and 12
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Community Certificate
  • Nativity Certificate
  • Additional documentation for certain quotas (e.g., NRI, minority status)
  • Certificate of evidence of studies from Class 6 to Class 12 for applicants who have studied entirely in Tamil Nadu
  • Income Certificate

A non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 500 for government quota seats and Rs. 1,000 for management quota seats must be paid by applicants. However, candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), SC (Arunthathiyar), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities in Tamil Nadu are exempt from paying the application fees.
