- When you receive the question paper, avoid reading all the questions immediately. Starting with questions you don’t know might create anxiety and cause confusion. Instead, focus on the section you plan to attempt first, such as the Language Section.
- Tackling the Language Section First:
- Samuel advises starting with the Language Section. Answer the questions you are confident about before moving on to the more uncertain ones. Allocate about one hour to this section and follow the same strategy for other sections as well.
- Precise Shading of Answers:
- In the Group 2 Exam, shading the correct answers is critical. Samuel suggests using a ruler to align your answers properly to avoid mistakes. Mentally repeating the answer while shading can further help reduce errors.
- Prioritizing Aptitude Questions:
- The next focus should be on Aptitude questions. Samuel recommends allocating 45 minutes to complete this section, as saving it for last might leave you short on time.
- Confidence is Key:
- Approaching the exam with confidence can help reduce anxiety. Competitive exams typically feature around 50% familiar questions and 30% revised ones. If you tackle these effectively, you can handle 80% of the paper, leaving only 20% of more challenging, unfamiliar questions.
- Carefully Read Questions:
- Read each question thoroughly, as they are written in both Tamil and English. This ensures that you understand the question fully before answering.
